Difference Between Ceramic (left - Recommended) and Carbon Fiber (right) Emitters

Difference Between Ceramic (left - Recommended) and Carbon Fiber (right) Emitters Video Clips. Duration : 1.65 Mins.

At Far North Wellness we can build your sauna either out of the Fusion Duo-Wall Ceramic Ultra Low EMFRTM emitters or out of Activated Carbon Fibre. We would much rather you know the advantages and disadvantages of each emitter so that you make an educated decision. Both of our emitters produce over 70% of their emissions in the 7-10 micron range which is excellent. A slight edge would go to the ceramic as it produces 90% of its emissions in the Far Infrared Spectrum (5-14 microns) where as the carbon fibre is at 80% in that range. This is a very minor difference and you would not be able to notice it. What you will notice however is the physics of how each one heats your body. Carbon fibre was built for use in the lay down or dome saunas. In this application it works excellent and we would not even consider using ceramic for it. Unfortunately the physics do not hold true when using carbon fibre in an upright wooden sauna. With ceramic emitters you retain the ability to zone heat specific body parts. For example if you had a bad back, neck or shoulder that you wanted to treat more than your foot, you can do that in a ceramic sauna, you cannot do that in a carbon fibre sauna. Carbon fibre has the same power but spreads the infrared out over a larger area so for any given portion of it you are receiving less infrared. We supply to over 200 different Naturopaths, Chiropractors, Massage therapists and Spas across North America, they always want to know we build with ceramic ...
