DVK giving the goods on detoxing phosgene gas, those being copious water, oxygen or ozone. I haven't found anything that describes consuming bentonite clay or activated charcoal is beneficial for clearing phosgene gas, but it stands to reason as activated charcoal binds to stuff and bentonite clay soaks stuff up. Both are considered standard detox agents. Wikipedia says this about Activated Carbon: The porous material acts like a sponge for different types of gasses. The gas is attracted to the carbon material via Van der Waals forces. To briefly cover preventing breathing Phosgene, recommendations I've seen and read include using plastic and duct tape to seal your home.
