Coralline Algae in a Saltwater Aquarium

Coralline Algae in a Saltwater Aquarium Tube. Duration : 2.42 Mins.

This 38 gallon tank houses a Flame Angelfish, a Blue Tang, an Ocellaris Clown, a Blenny, a Cleaner Shrimp, and several Hermit Crabs. The live rock has been in this tank at least fifteen years, so the purple coralline algae has had a chance to almost completely encrust the rock. Filtration includes a Bak-Pak skimmer hanging on the back of the tank, and a small power filter with activated carbon. Evaportive water loss is replaced with Kalkwasser.
