SNAPPING TURTLE, 180 GALLON FISH TANK, 90 GALLON SUMP Video Clips. Duration : 2.57 Mins.
THIS IS MY FIRST UPLOAD---THIS IS A SNAPPING TURTLE THAT I HAVE HAD FOR 14 YEARS, WHEN I FOUND HIM ON A GOLF COURSE HE WAS THE SIZE OF A QUARTER. I NORMALLY WOULD NOT HAVE PICKED HIM UP BUT THE COURSE WOULD HAVE KILLED HIM. HE STARTED OUT IN A 10 GALLON TANK, THEN MOVED TO A 90 GALLON AND IS NOW IN A 180 GALLON. 2 SALT WATER LIGHT FIXTURES, 2 CANISTER FILTERS, 1 EMPORER 400, 2 HEATERS, 90 GALLON SUMP WITH OVER FLOW WITH 500 GALLON PER HOUR SUMP PUMP. I HAD AN OLD SALT WATER SUMP THAT A FRIEND GAVE ME THAT I AM USING INSIDE THE 90 GALLON TANK THAT THE WATER IS FORCED THROUGH. THIS PUSHS THE WATER FIRST THROUGH A COARSE SPONGE, SOME BIO-BALLS AND THEN THROUGH A FINE SPONGE. THE LARGER CANISTER FILTER IS FILLED WITH NOTHING BUT ACTIVATED CARBON THAT I CHANGE EVERY 2 MONTHS, THE SMALLER CANISTER FILTER IS FILLED WITH POLLISHING SPONGE AND BIO-ROCK MEDIA. THEIR IS A WATER STRILIZER IN LINE WITH THE CANISTER FILTER AS WELL. SHORT TERM PLAN IS THE MOVE THE EMPORER 400 DOWN IN THE SUMP. ANY COMMENTS OR QUESTIONS ARE WELCOME

Community Fish Tank: 20 Gallon Fresh Water Aquarium Video Clips. Duration : 6.75 Mins.
Community Fish Tank: Fresh Water Aquarium This is the Catspit Productions fresh water community aquarium or fish tank. It is about 8 months after the first aquarium video was posted. Since then I have had to remove all live plants due to fish eating them. They just wouldn't let them grow. I also had a bout with ick and lost several fish over time. That was ok because I wanted to add better fish. So this is the new and improved aquarium. This tank is a 20 gallon, high with 2 Aquaclear outboard or hanging filters. One filter is a #70 or 300 gallons per hour filtration and it is set up like a normal filter with carbon, ammo carb, and filter medium. The second filter is a #50 or a 150 gallon per hour filtration. This smaller unit is set up with activated charcoal only. This is like a booster for clarity and toxins. This tank is about 2 and 1/2 years old and has been moved once. With a plecostomus and catfish, the tank is literally self cleaning. The filters are cleaned and changed once every month and that is all. Very easy maintenance. The light is a standard fluorescent tube that is left on for daylight simulation and turned off for night mode. The light is set on a timer. A few of the fish are over 2 years old and have been with the tank since the beginning. In general all I have to do regularly is change 25% water, trim plants, scrape the algae on glass, feed the fish and dose plant nutrients. At times when I don't change water for long time periods no fish dies. The timer turns on/off both CO2 regulator and lights together between noon and 9 pm daily. For a period I had pest snail infestation, but I could get rid of them completely with the addition of Assassin Snails. Now, due to food scarcity I have a soon to exctinct Assassin Snail colony. Red Cherry Shrimps are breeding and colonizing the tank. All plants are fluorishing thanks to optimal lighting, dissolved CO2 in water, added plant micro nutrients in water ...
