My DIY Water Change Filter System. More or less 3 five gallon buckets with holes drilled in them, placed into a tub with a pump at the bottom. The top bucket has about 6-8 inches of filter material, the middle bucket has about 4-5 inches of activated carbon and other packs of chemical filters. The bottom bucket has only about 8 holes drilled about an inch up from the bottom, so the water squirts out the sides. Run your water through this and pump it back into the tank. OF COURSE you still need to do water changes, but this helps cut down the number you have to do. Typically I still add 2 - 4 gallons when I use this simple because you can not get all of the water out of the tub.

Diamond Water Filter Maintenance - Demo on How to change filters for G1500 Spring Water System Tube. Duration : 3.27 Mins.
Rinse the ceramic dust from the new Ceramic Sterasyl Filter A, before replacing. After changing this washable Ceramic Sterasyl filter, would recommend to disconnect all the other hoses if they are labeled ( B to F). Remove each filter by unscrewing in the direction labeled "OPEN", starting with FIlter B. Replace with new Filter B, by screwing it back to the base. Turn on the water to the filter, and let the water flow from hose labeled C to the sink for at least 5 minutes. This is to wash Filter B of the activated carbon dust, before connecting this hose to Filter C. Repeat this process for Filter C. Let the water run from hose D to the sink for at least 5 minutes. Connect back to Filter D. Then repeat this process for Filter E, and then F. Please note that there is no need to replace Filter D. Recommend to place the System on its side for about 10 minutes with the water running to remove air pockets from the individual filters. There will be some bubbling sounds. This is a Demo video, so please flush each of the Filters B, C, & E for at least 5 minutes, before use. At least 10 minutes for Filer F, otherwise you may notice a slight coconut water taste.
